MOVIETAG is the game of pitching movie taglines for Hollywood motion pictures.  Every major movie released has a tagline, an advertising slogan used in marketing materials.  A movie tagline is a phrase meant to sum up the tone or premise of a film but more often than not it tends towards the cliché.  In this game players are read Film Premises and they pitch Movie Taglines.

The mechanics of the game are quite simple, each player is dealt six Movie Tagline cards (which they can look at), one player is randomly selected to be the first “Studio Head”, this player reads a Film Premise card aloud and the other players pick their best Movie Tagline card and place it face down in the middle.  The “Studio Head” then reads the played Movie Tagline cards aloud and chooses the winner.  The winner is awarded the Film Premise card, the role of “Studio Head” is transferred to the next player on the left and each player is dealt an additional card so they again have six Movie Tagline cards.  The game is won when one player reaches a predetermined number of awarded Film Premise cards.

The game components are comprised of 100 Film Premise cards and 250 Movie Tagline cards.  All of the cards contain original material; no unlicensed or copyrighted material is used in this game.  The age range for the game is 13 and up.  It takes 1 to 2 minutes to learn the game and an average game requires 20 to 30 minutes.  Four to eight people can play.
